You Can’t Run in Outcome Memories Recreation

YCR is the map that named itself after the feeling. You cannot loop forever. The walls are close, the music is personal, and the executioner does not need a skybox to find you.

Close-quarters executioner pressure in Outcome Memories Recreation

Original Outcome Memories treated You Can’t Run as the chase opera of the rotation: corridors, stair traps, and almost no honest open grass. Recreation still loads that neighbourhood even when a restart changes lighting. If Green Hill taught you to run, YCR teaches you to pick a door and commit. Read this next to the maps hub and the executioner counterplay guide so you stop treating every hallway as a fair 1v1.

Two’s Recreation’s “experience be like” clip is full of the same claustrophobia YCR is built on. Watch it for how fast a round becomes personal in an eight-player lobby, then come back here for the layout rules. The video is two minutes of chaos; a YCR round is decided by who owns the first stairwell.

Why this layout eats Sonic mains

Sonic wants a horizon. YCR does not sell one. Peel-out into a dead end and 2011X is already on the exit. Metal Sonic can still force a lane. Mighty’s Protect is huge here because Throw through a doorway is a full reset — see the Mighty guide. Tails’ intel is worth more than Tails’ flight; the ceiling is low enough that a glide is a confession, not an escape. Cream’s cheese does not outheal a corridor combo. Check the survivor tier list before you instalock a ground-only kit.

On the other side, 2011X and Lord X love this map. Invis plus a corner is a jump-scare factory. Kolossos grab through a choke is a round ender. Tripwire mines on stair landings are legal cruelty. Negagen and Omega, which Recreation actually queues, become worse in hallways because their extra tools do not need space — the executioners page is the kit list, this page is the geometry.

How survivors actually leave

Do not triple-stack a loop. Eight-player Recreation already makes every duplicate lock public; YCR makes it fatal. Split by floors, not by “I will kite forever.” Stun only on a save. If the timer is near 1:20, pre-path toward the likely ring rooms instead of the spawn you like. General ring rules live on how to escape. If you are last, YCR LMS is a door game: fake a stair, take the other one. The LMS guide exists for that minute.

Springs still exist. Executioners can take them. A spring that dumps you into a hallway the killer already owns is a highlight, not a plan. Camera a little higher than on Green Hill so you see the next landing before you commit sprint. Toggle sprint and cut camera shake first — PC controls or mobile controls — because fat-fingered dash on YCR is a wall, not a miss.

Executioner plan on YCR

Cut the map in half. Do not chase the Sonic who wants cinema through three identical corridors. Eat the isolated survivor on the lower floor, then rotate. If you are 2011X, Trickery at a doorway, not in the open. If you are Lord X, the hallway is your stage; do not waste it on a 40-second juke. If you are Tripwire, one mine on the only stair the lobby keeps using is worth more than a chase. Recreation’s extra killers do not change the geometry: Omega still wants a trapped body, Negagen still wants a line. Confirm kits on the roster and the matchup tool before you invent a new plan in chat.

YCR is not Not Perfect. Gravity will not save you and it will not kill them. If you wanted void as a teammate, queue Not Perfect V2. If you wanted weather and honest loops, queue Green Hill. If you wanted overtime caves, queue Mystic Cave. This layout is the one that makes the original song title feel like a loading-screen threat.

There are still no codes that unlock a nicer hallway. There is still no public Trello that redraws the stairs. Play the corridor you loaded, then check updates after a restart in case collision moved a door. Discord chatter about “YCR rework” belongs on the Discord page until it hits a public server.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers for the searches that actually land here.

What does YCR mean in Outcome Memories Recreation?

You Can’t Run — the tight chase map from the original Outcome Memories rotation, still loaded in Recreation.

Which executioners are strongest here?

2011X, Lord X, and anyone who owns chokes. Open-map peel kits lose value.

Best survivor for YCR?

Mighty for door throws, Tails for intel, Metal Sonic for lane force. Pure Sonic is a request to be cornered.

Does overtime happen on YCR?

Treat it as a chase map first. Overtime is more typical of Green Hill, X’s Fortress, and Mystic Cave.
