Angel Island in Outcome Memories Recreation

Angel Island is the map that lets you see your death coming. Fewer toys, cleaner sightlines, and the closest thing Recreation has to a teaching island after Green Hill.

Updated:

Corrupted island staging from the Outcome Memories family

Original Outcome Memories listed Angel Island as the layout with fewer stage gimmicks than Green Hill’s storm or Mystic Cave’s overtime tunnels. Recreation footage still uses that island as a “can you actually loop” test. If Not Perfect is a personality check and YCR is a corridor threat, Angel Island is the place you send a friend who just learned sprint toggle. Keep the maps hub open, then compare this page to Green Hill so you know which island you queued.

Axheron’s overlap video exists because Recreation still walks the original map set. Use it to recognize the island silhouette, then come back here for Recreation’s eight-player tax: every bad lock is public, and Angel Island will not hide it behind a storm.

What “fewer gimmicks” actually means

You still have springs. Executioners can still take them. You still have a green ring at ~1:20 unless overtime is on the board. What you do not have is an excuse. Loops are readable. Knuckles can be useful without a cave. Sonic can run without eating a bumper into the void. Cream can actually heal if the chase is honest. That is why we tell new players to learn how to play here or on Green Hill before they queue the map printed in the Roblox title.

Do not confuse “cleaner” with “safe.” Lord X still ends rounds. Kolossos still grabs. Tripwire still mines the one spring everyone loves. Recreation-only killers — Negagen, Omega, Lilith — do not need a gimmick to farm an island. Kit pages: survivors and executioners.

Survivor plan

Split, but stay in scream range. Stun on saves. Watch the clock. When 1:20 approaches, pick a ring path that does not share a spring with the executioner. Details: how to escape. If you are last, Angel Island LMS is about not donating a straight line — LMS guide. Mighty’s Protect is less mandatory here than on YCR, but Throw still relocates a grab kit; the Mighty guide is still the right homework if you locked him.

Settings still matter. Toggle sprint. Raise FOV. Cut shake. Those clicks are on PC and mobile. Mobile players should practise Angel Island before Not Perfect because missing a counter on open ground is recoverable; missing Protect on a void lip is a loading screen.

Executioner plan

You cannot rely on bumpers or void. You have to earn downs. Cut rotations, eat the isolated body, ignore the Sonic montage. If the lobby brought three peelers, you are in for a long island and the ring will spawn while you are still proud of a 40-second chase. Play the clock. The executioner tier list and the matchup tool exist so you stop inventing a new kit in the lobby chat.

Angel Island is also the map people confuse with Green Hill in screenshots. Green Hill has the storm temper. This island is calmer until it is not. If the board says Angel Island and you queued as if it were Not Perfect V2, you will over-respect gravity and under-respect a straight charge. If the board says YCR, none of this open-ground advice applies.

No code changes the island. No public Trello redraws the springs — the Trello page and Discord are where rumours go to wait for a restart. Play the layout, then log the restart on updates if collision moved a tree.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers for the searches that actually land here.

Is Angel Island in Outcome Memories Recreation?

Yes. It sits in the original OM rotation Recreation still loads: a cleaner island with fewer stage toys than Green Hill or Not Perfect.

Is this easier than Green Hill?

Reads are cleaner. The storm gimmick is weaker. The executioner is not.

Who should I play here?

Anyone who can loop honestly: Sonic, Knuckles, Amy. Save Mighty for void maps if the lobby already has peel.

Does the ring still spawn at 1:20?

Treat that as default unless overtime is on the board. Escape rules do not change.
